Dr. Elizabeth Tencza

Dr. Elizabeth Tencza is a senior associate at Johnston Analytics.  She brings 20 years of expertise in military history and intelligence analysis to bear in the development of analytic methods, development and delivery of training and evaluation in risk analysis.  Elizabeth is our go-to person for sourcing methods and source verification.  Her experience working in and with government intelligence agencies and her experience as a political scientist at the RAND corporation is invaluable to JA, as it enriches our understanding of government clients, performing in the military intelligence community, and supporting policy development through research.

 

Elizabeth holds a BA in history from Bryn Mawr College, as well as a PhD in military history from George Washington University, where she studied under Dr. Ronald Spector. She has spent much of her career as an intelligence analyst for the Missile Defense Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and in support of the Marine Corps Intelligence Agency. She was a military historian for the RAND Corporation, where she published a history of US Army force structure from World War II through the Vietnam War, and has taught at George Washington University and the United States Naval War College.
